Ziplines and Benches Guide

Transit and rest shipped with 1.0

CayPlay previewed ziplines and functional benches before the July 31, 2026 1.0 launch. Official sneak notes describe a straight-line ride for you and visitors: build a platform, climb it, pick the destination, and connect more lines into a network. Benches stopped being props—tired guests sit to restore energy, including seats outside the gates. This page is the layout guide. It does not invent unofficial piece prices. Pair it with Pool Layout, Umbrella Travel, and Beach Map Zones.

Version 1.0 also added custom slides, the Beach map, night mode, and online co-op for 2–4 players at $12.99. Ziplines are late transport and a thrill toy—not a day-one ticket booth replacement. Getting Started still owns the first profitable loop.

How a zipline actually goes down

Official language is simple on purpose:

  1. Build a starting platform with clear climb access.
  2. Stand on top and choose where the line goes.
  3. Confirm a landing that guests can exit without dropping into a slide runout.
  4. Ride the line yourself if you want the High Above the Park achievement—building alone is not enough. See Achievements.
  5. Chain a second line only after the first ride works end to end.

Hotfix 1.0.21 (inside Patch 1.0.30) fixed achievements that failed to trigger in the right place, including using the zipline on the Beach map. If a Beach ride did not pop the achievement on an older build, update and ride a short working line again.

Short test line before the hero span

Beach frontage tempts a coast-long cable. That is how you spend a repair reserve on a line that dumps into the ocean or a food queue. Build a short, boring connection first:

  • Start on a deck you already mop.
  • End on a deck with a bin arrow and a walk-off.
  • Keep the cable out of custom-slide airspace from Custom Slides.
  • Keep lifeguard sightlines from Lifeguards—a cable across a landing pool is a rescue tax.

Only then extend toward a second expansion or a prestige tower. Prestige Builds can use a zipline as a photo approach; the landing still needs stairs, not a ragdoll pit.

Guest traffic versus manager traffic

Ziplines move guests and the player. That is the point and the risk. A popular line becomes a queue. Place it as a bypass around a long Beach walk, not as the only path to toilets. Managers should still keep Umbrella Travel for chaotic mid-day hops when a line is full.

In 2–4 player co-op, name who may build or destroy zip platforms. Patch 1.0.50 and the Rebind Keys and Free Cam weekly added more host locks at lobby create, including research spends. A joiner who “tests demolition” on your only Beach crossing is a tablet-ban conversation from Multiplayer Co-op.

Use F1 free camera after close to inspect sag, landing clutter, and night lighting without walking every pole. Hide the HUD with H if you are shooting a showcase. How-to sits on Keybinds and Free Camera.

Benches that do a job

1.0 benches are rest tools. Guests sit when tired and recover energy. Empty decorative rows still waste footprint if nobody can path to them. Place benches:

  • On the exit side of slide runouts, not in the splash cone.
  • Next to food courts so snack queues have an overflow sit—pair with Food Concessions.
  • Outside the gate as official notes allow, so street overflow and flyer crowds can rest without entering unpaid.
  • In theme districts (Ocean / Aztec / Pirate) as matching street furniture, not as a junk pile that hides graffiti—see Graffiti.

Keep cleaner routes from Cleaning Loop. A bench jammed against a bin arrow creates a puddle pocket you will mop forever. Night overtime lighting should reach sit spots so guests are not resting in a black alley (Night Mode and Weather).

Failed diving-board jumps can ragdoll at a low percent after the mid-August weekly; if that injury happens, you are not fined. Benches near boards still help shaken guests recover—do not treat the no-fine rule as permission to skip rest space.

Hard mode and payroll honesty

On Hard Mode, a zipline network is a luxury until tickets, food, and repairs are stable. Breakdown pressure from Breakdown Repairs hits platforms too. The golden hammer one-hit repair from the weekly helps when you own it; it does not make a twelve-tower zip grid cheap.

Sandbox players can prototype lines freely. Achievement hunters should remember Sandbox disables achievements—ride the line on a Normal or Hard city/Beach save that still tracks Steam.

Build checklist

  1. Finish a working pool-and-slide loop before the first zip platform.
  2. Place a short test line with a walkable landing.
  3. Ride it yourself for High Above the Park.
  4. Add benches on exits, food edges, and the outer gate.
  5. Keep mop lanes and lifeguard views clear of cables and seat rows.
  6. Light night paths to sit spots and landings.
  7. In co-op, lock who may delete platforms.
  8. Scout finished lines with F1 after close.
  9. Extend the network one span at a time on Beach expansions.
  10. Re-test after custom-slide airspace changes.

Ziplines and benches are how 1.0 parks feel like a resort instead of a wet warehouse. Build the boring short line, seat the tired, then let the hero span earn its screenshot.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do I build a zipline in Waterpark Simulator 1.0?

Build a platform, climb to the top, and choose the destination. Test a short line before you span the Beach map. Guests and the player can both ride.

How do I unlock High Above the Park?

Ride a working zipline. Building the structure is not enough. If a Beach ride failed to pop on an old build, update through the 1.0.30 hotfix train and ride again.

Do benches do anything after 1.0?

Yes. Tired guests sit to restore energy, including on benches outside the park gates. Place them on exits and food edges, not in splash cones.

Should I zipline on day one?

No. Stabilize tickets, a pool, and one safe slide first. Treat ziplines as late transit and prestige, especially on Hard.

Can ziplines replace umbrellas?

They complement each other. Ziplines are point-to-point guest transit. Umbrella bounce lines still help managers hop chaos when a zip queue is full.

Why inspect lines with F1?

The mid-August weekly added free camera on F1. After close, fly landings and night lighting without walking every pole. Hide the HUD with H for shots.
