Waterpark Simulator Updates Hub
Version notes from the 1.0 launch through the August 2026 polish update—and where to read strategy next.
1.0 is the current baseline
Waterpark Simulator by CayPlay Studios left Early Access with version 1.0 on July 31, 2026. This Updates Hub is the index for patch-facing pages on the wiki. The latest numbered Steam update covered here is 1.0.63 (August 21, 2026): it adds custom slide naming, improves diving safety and Beach painting, saves Park Events, and rebalances guest satisfaction. Earlier hotfixes through 1.0.50, the rebind/free-cam weekly, and the Lazy River 1.1 preview remain indexed below.
Featured update pages
Patch 1.0.63 — Custom Slide Names
The official August 21, 2026 update adds custom slide naming after construction, safer diving, saved Park Events, improved lounger logic, hold-to-fire tools, and fixes for Beach painting, staff pathing, restock clutter, multiplayer ambience, and visitor progression. Start here for the newest numbered build.
For the new super staff specialists released alongside it, read the Super Staff Guide.
Weekly Update — Rebind Keys and Free Cam
Mid-August Steam weekly after 1.0.50: Settings → Controls keyboard rebinds, F1 free-camera drone shots, lobby-create multiplayer settings, host lock on research point spends, one-hit golden hammer, night mode blocked without cash, no last-hour walk-ins, slower/rarer Saboteurs, and the city-map 3★/5★ achievement fix. How-to lives on Keybinds and Free Camera.
Patch 1.0.50 — Multiplayer & Localization
Early mid-week Steam notes (~August 11, 2026): friends-only host spoof blocked, tablet lobby ban, lower Saboteur appear chance, small Chinese localization polish, and Mafia no longer missable after a save-quit on their return day.
Version 1.0 Overview
Full launch package notes: online co-op for 2–4 players, custom slides, Beach map, optional night mode with overtime, diamond rating above classic stars, security, mascots, Ocean / Aztec / Pirate themes, Mafia loans, character customization with multiple save slots, console day-one parity, and Early Access thank-yous (exclusive Duck Slide + free soundtrack). Read it when you are returning from Early Access habits or deciding whether 1.0 systems change your build order.
Patch 1.0.48 — Multiplayer Stability & Accessibility
Follow-up Steam notes after 1.0.43: co-op players can move pools with blobs, Steam ID spoof safeguards for friend-only lobbies, item placement rate limits against crash spam, staff quitting disabled on Easy/Sandbox, and an accessibility option to disable staff quitting and NPC retaliation—plus the hammer-audio and 1440×1080 tooltip fixes that started the build.
Patch 1.0.43 — Saboteurs & Lobby Bans
Early-August Steam notes: Saboteur bad visitors with sledgehammers that unplug pools, lobby-only multiplayer bans, staff quitting when bullied, Mafia fight-back and more random waves, stronger golden hammer, no drownings in the last 30 minutes before close, CayMart/painting host options, and a calmer weekly cadence. Strategy for the new threat lives in Saboteurs.
Patch 1.0.30 Hotfixes
Combined official Steam notes for builds 1.0.21, 1.0.28, and 1.0.30 (the announcement also references 1.0.31): the empty-park Steam file verification workaround, new UI scaling, museum missions staff can finish, multiplayer PvP throw toggle, Sandbox unlock fixes on old saves, achievement and Mafia interaction corrections, quit-save confirmations, and dozens of QoL tweaks. Read it when co-op permissions, saves, or achievements behave differently right after a hotfix—start with Troubleshooting if your park loads empty.
Lazy River 1.1 Preview
Community-voted first post-1.0 content drop: lazy river attractions, layout implications for Beach map circulation, and what CayPlay has confirmed versus still on the roadmap. Read it before you replan decks around a feature that is not live yet—then pair with Beach Map Zones when routing guest flow.
Post-1.0 roadmap at a glance
Version 1.0 remains the gameplay baseline on every platform. A stabilization hotfix train through ~1.0.30 addressed empty-park verify-files reports, UI scaling, multiplayer permissions, and achievement bugs. 1.0.43 then changed daily threat and host tooling (Saboteurs, bans, staff quits); 1.0.48 hardened multiplayer and added Easy/Sandbox / accessibility staff-quit controls; 1.0.50 and the rebind / free cam weekly followed in mid-August. Update 1.1 still targets lazy rivers first; CayPlay has discussed further quality-of-life and content beats without promising dates, with a stated preference for roughly weekly patches. When a bullet ships, we add an overview page here and cross-link the guide that owns the new system—same pattern as co-op, diamond, museum quests, and now saboteurs.
What 1.0 changed for strategy
Co-op turns staffing and research into lobby politics. Role splits and night payroll discipline live in Multiplayer Co-op and the Staff Planner.
Custom slides raise the fun ceiling and the rescue burden. Design rules sit in Custom Slides with pool exits covered in Pool Layout.
Beach map adds creative footprint and walking distance. Expand only when trash, food, and lifeguard coverage can stretch—zone first with Beach Map Zones and confirm with the Star Checklist.
Night overtime extends good days and multiplies wages. Lighting and weather context belong in Night Mode and Weather.
Diamond rating extends prestige past five stars with new quests and rewards. Operational foundation still comes from Stars and Diamond Rating and Getting Started. Completion hunters can also use Achievements.
Security and mascots are late roster tools. Hire order guidance is in the Hiring Guide and Staff Hub; escort routes and mascot timing for 1.0 parks live in Security and Mascots.
Mafia loans float short cash crises for a price—emergency leverage, not a growth plan. Payroll discipline and borrowing trade-offs are in Money and Loans; launch context and warnings stay on the Version 1.0 Overview.
Character customization and save slots let you style multiple manager looks without overwriting a main vibe. Cosmetic first; ops still win the day.
EA rewards (Duck Slide + free soundtrack) thank Early Access owners; post-EA buyers should expect the soundtrack as a separate Steam item.
Themes (Ocean / Aztec / Pirate) support identity and late quests. Place them as districts that still allow bin facing and cleaner routes, not as prop walls.
Seagull pressure and related pest chaos get their own tactical page in Seagulls when birds start taxing cleanliness and guest mood.
How to use this hub after future patches
- Skim Steam news and the official Discord for developer notes.
- Open the matching overview page here when we publish one.
- Re-check Research Planner if unlock costs or gates shift.
- Re-check cleaning and staff tools if AI behavior or wages change.
- Re-verify cross-page facts against live play before trusting old Early Access muscle memory.
Publisher and store destinations are collected on the Official Links Hub. For “should I buy the 1.0 package?” framing, see Is It Worth Buying?. Broader systems teaching remains under the Guides Hub, Build Hub, and Tools Hub.
What we will not invent here
This hub does not fabricate patch tables the live client has not shown—loan rates, exact discount calendars, or undocumented hotfixes included. When a note is uncertain, we point to Steam, Discord, or CayPlay instead of guessing numbers. Strategy pages describe stable patterns—tickets, mop routes, prestige objectives—that survive small balance tweaks even when exact research costs move.
Bookmark the Version 1.0 Overview as your launch reference, then let guides and planners absorb the day-to-day detail. Updates tell you what shipped; the rest of the wiki tells you how to run it without drowning in puddles.
