Patch 1.0.50 — Multiplayer & Localization

Why 1.0.50 shipped mid-week

CayPlay Studios had just told players they wanted about one patch per week after the frantic launch train. Then a weekend of multiplayer grief forced an early drop. UPDATE 1.0.50 - Patch Notes landed on Steam around August 11, 2026—a few days after Patch 1.0.48 and well before the mid-August weekly that added key rebinds and free camera. Treat this page as the official short list for that emergency build, not a replacement for Saboteur tactics in Saboteurs or lobby etiquette in Multiplayer Co-op. Launch context still lives on Version 1.0 Overview and the Updates Hub.

The studio also bundled already-tested changes they had sitting on the bench, so 1.0.50 is more than a single hotfix. If your friends-only lobby felt leaky, if a Saboteur emptied a pool before you could sprint, or if the Mafia vanished after a save-and-quit, this is the notes page to read first.

Bug fix: Mafia no longer missable

The only numbered bug bullet is important for money saves. Mafia is no longer missable if you save and quit on the day they should reappear. Before 1.0.50, quitting that collector day could skip the visit entirely—bad if you needed the confrontation, worse if you thought you had “dodged” a debt beat that the save still expected. After the patch, load the same slot and expect the appointment to hold. Pair cash discipline with Money and Loans instead of treating quit-save as a Mafia skip tool.

Multiplayer hardening continues

Friends-only lobbies should not allow players to spoof as friends’ hosts anymore. This continues the Steam ID spoof work from 1.0.48. Hosts who run private sessions should still update past 1.0.48; 1.0.50 is the follow-up that targets the “I look like your friend’s host” join path. It does not replace lobby-only bans from Patch 1.0.43.

The ban button is now also available on the tablet. The ban still applies to that lobby only, not a global account ban. Putting the control on the tablet means the host can eject grief without hunting a buried menu while a custom slide is mid-place. Non-host players should not see a working ban control—1.0.50 puts the tool where hosts already manage park settings; a later weekly fixed a visual bug that showed the button to joiners.

Saboteurs and localization

Reduced % chance of a Saboteur appearing. The sledgehammer unplug trait from 1.0.43 stays in the game. Parks on Normal and Hard still need a patrol habit, but the spawn rate is less punishing after a weekend of stacked threats. Saboteurs remains the intercept loop; do not delete security coverage just because odds dropped.

Small improvements in Chinese localization. Official notes do not list string-by-string edits. If you play the client in Chinese, expect cleaner UI copy—not new systems. This wiki stays on English, French, German, and Spanish; we do not invent a Chinese locale here.

How 1.0.50 changes the week

  1. Update through 1.0.50 before blaming leftover friend-lobby joins on 1.0.48 notes alone.
  2. Hosts: confirm the tablet ban works in your lobby and that joiners cannot use it.
  3. Keep Saboteur sightlines even with the lower spawn rate—one unplug still ruins a star afternoon.
  4. If a Mafia day was “skipped” by a quit, reload after the patch and watch the calendar.
  5. Read the next weekly—Rebind Keys and Free Cam—for lobby-create settings, research-point host locks, and the F1 drone.
  6. Return to Troubleshooting only if the park loads empty; that remains a verify-files issue from Patch 1.0.30.

What 1.0.50 does not do

This build does not ship Lazy River, housing, or pets. Those still sit on the Lazy River 1.1 Preview. It does not add key rebinding or free camera—that is the August 13 weekly. It does not remove staff quitting on Normal/Hard; Easy/Sandbox protection and the accessibility toggle remain 1.0.48 work.

CayPlay repeated the standing notice: tiny urgent builds may ship without immediate notes and land in a later combined post. Bookmark Steam news and the Waterpark Simulator Discord when a weekend lobby report looks hotter than the weekly cadence.

Reading order after you update

1.0.50 is a short official list with a long weekend behind it. Install it, keep the tablet ban in your host muscle memory, and treat lower Saboteur odds as breathing room—not permission to ignore the plug.
